Muros old town

Muros is one of the two better preserved seaside towns in Galicia and for this reason it was designated a Historic-Artistic Monumental Site. What makes Muros different and special, without doubt, is its peculiar architecture, following the typical designs of the medieval Galician coastal villages. All the buildings that face the sea have a similar facade, ground floor arcade, where the fishermen use to keep their nets and tackle, fist floor is a balcony and in the second and third floor galleries. Muros gets an important source of income from fishing. The port supplies excellent fresh fish and seafood to the local restaurants and tapas bars.
