The seaside town of Corcubion continues the traditions of fishing and cottage industries as its main source of income. In 1984 Corcubion was declared “Historical-Artistic Group” by the Spanish Government. In 2000, it was recognized by the Galician government as "Galician Tourist County". The streets of Corcubion testify an important and wealthy past, materialized in its rich heritage, the civil architecture of white galleries and blazoned houses, gardens decorated with palm trees, tiles and hydrangeas.
